Linocut Prints

2019-2023

My grandfather is a santero from northern New Mexico and created many carvings of saints and scenes from nature. I see these prints as a continuation of this tradition and love how the carving of the linoleum mimics his process. Many of the images are influenced by our surrounding landscape, nature, and folk art.
